Terms of use
Last updated: 2026-11-04
These terms cover the Android and iPhone app with the identifier app.mussh on Google Play and the App Store (the "app"). The app is published by FORTNIGHT AI LTD (company number 17085717, registered in England and Wales), 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom ("we", "us"). Contact: support@mussh.app.
By using the app you agree to these terms. How the app handles your data is described in the privacy policy: https://mussh.app/privacy
What the app does
The app connects over SSH from your phone to computers you add yourself (each one a "host"). It gives you a terminal on the host and, on hosts that run Herdr, a view of your coding agents with their chats, approval requests and files. The app has no user accounts. Herdr and the coding agents are made by other people, are not part of the app and have their own terms.
Licence
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on phones you own or control, within the rules of the store you got it from. You may not copy, sell or redistribute the app, or reverse engineer it, except where the law allows it. Open source components in the app are covered by their own licences, listed in the app under About.
Free trial and the full version
- For 30 days you can use every feature for free. On Android the 30 days count from the first launch of the app; on iPhone, from the start of the free trial in the App Store.
- During the trial, the app checks the date with Google Play or the App Store at least once every 7 days, which needs an internet connection. If 7 days pass without a successful check, the fleet, chat, approvals and the files next to the chat pause until the phone is online again; the terminal and its files panel keep working, and the trial days keep counting. The purchased full version does not need this check.
- After the trial, connections, pairing and the SSH terminal stay free. The fleet, chat, approvals, files and cloud dictation need the full version.
- You buy the full version in the app, through Google Play or the App Store. It is a single purchase, not a subscription. The store shows the price before you pay, possibly in your local currency.
- Payment is handled by Google Play or the App Store under the store's terms. RevenueCat checks the purchase on our behalf. You can restore the purchase on another phone signed in to the same store account.
- Refunds go through the store, under the store's rules. The support page explains how to ask for one: https://mussh.app/support
Your computers and your agents
- Connect only to computers you own or have permission to use, and keep them, their accounts and the phone's keys secure. Pairing gives your phone a key that lets it log in to the host.
- What happens on your hosts is your responsibility. This includes commands you type in the terminal, messages you send to agents and approval requests you accept. Accepting a request can let an agent change or delete files and run programs on the host, so read each request before you accept it.
- Do not use the app to break the law or to access computers or data without permission.
Cloud dictation
In the full version, dictation turns your speech into text with Deepgram, through our broker on Cloudflare, up to a monthly limit. During the trial, after the limit and without a network connection, the app uses the phone's own speech recognition instead. The privacy policy explains what data each of these services receives: https://mussh.app/privacy
Availability and changes to the app
We try to keep the app working, but we cannot promise that it will always be available or free of errors. It also depends on things we do not control, such as the stores, your network, your hosts, Herdr and the coding agents. We may update the app and change, add or remove features. Your rights under consumer law if the app is faulty or not as described still apply.
Our liability
- Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any liability that the law does not allow us to limit or exclude, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence and for fraud.
- If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your legal rights, including your rights when digital content is faulty or not as described. If you live outside the United Kingdom, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live.
- We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that is not foreseeable.
- We are not responsible for the results of commands, messages and approvals you send through the app, or for loss of data on your hosts caused by them. This does not limit our responsibility if a fault in the app damages your phone or other digital content because we did not use reasonable care and skill.
- If you use the app for your business, we are not liable for loss of profit, business or business opportunity, and our total liability to you is limited to the price you paid for the full version.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms, for example when the app or the law changes. The new version will appear at this address with a new date and applies from that date. A change does not take away rights you already have under consumer law.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you can bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales or of the country where you live. A Polish version of these terms is at https://mussh.app/terms-pl; it has the same content, and if the two versions differ, the meaning more favourable to the consumer applies.
